The First grade children are really enjoying these beautiful
October days. Since it is so much fun to play outside, we
hurry and get our work finished so we can have more time to

The class is sorry that Stephen Capes is still in the Childrens
hospital. His cast is being removed. The children are
sending cards and letters to him.
We have a new pupil, Rudolph Gustafason. He came to us from Lydick, Indiana. Welcome Rudolph. Lewis Klinedinst is back after several days absence, on account of mumps.
Monday was health inspection day. the nurse Miss Jane Tower was with us. We are proud of our record for cleanliness and neatness.

5th AND 6th GRADE NEWSThe softball game held at
Tyner after school on October ended with the score in favor
of Teegarden, 11 to 10. Tyner boys seem to want to postpone
their victory until spring.
The spelling contest between the sixth and fifth grades now stands with the score at 455 to 353 in favor of the Fifth grade. The class with the highest score the preceding week has the opportunity to hear the radio lesson ADVENTURES IN FREEDOM on school time each Thursday afternoon.
Those who had perfect spelling scores for the first period had their pictures taken. The picture may be seen on the bulletin board soon.
