The Redmen got off to a good start in the Culver game. Balke tossed
in two fielders and Smith added one; Tyner lead 6 to 0 for a short time. Tyner lead at the end of the
first quarter 13--7.
Balke controlled the rebounds but the Indians outscored the Redmen in the second quarter 18 to 16. The half-time score was 29----25 in Tyner's favor. Balke made a fielder from the middle of the floor in the final second of the third quarter. The end of the third quarter, however, found Tyner behind 45--42. Melvin Jones' two free throws were the only other points scored by Tyner in the third quarter. Balke scored 11 points.
Early in the fourth period Balke collected his fifth personal and left the game; Jimmie Waller followed close behind. Lemert added a hook shot to tie the score at 45---45 after that Tyner kept a slim lead until the gun and victory was won by a score of 52--50.
Balke had game honors with 29 points and Kowatch was high for Culver with 12.

A tired Tyner Team ventured from the floor Wed. night the loser of
a fight for a semi-final bracket in the Sectional Play. The Redmen couldn't keep up the pace as Argos
racked up the points.

PREVIOUS
Argos jumped to a fast 16 to 7 first quarter score with Smith hitting
five of Tyner's seven. The secondquarter looked better for the Redmen with the half ending 26-19.
Argos rallied in the third frame and outscored the Redmen 18 to 7, with Hagan hitting long one handers
from floor. The third quarter ended with Tyner short 44 to 26. The subs played most of the fourth
quarter as the game ended 57 to 37 in favor of Argos.
Earl Smith held the game honors with 16, while Hagan of Argos close behind with 15.

The class tourney will be held Monday and Tuesday nights after school
and the two winners play Wednesday noon. Monday Seniors vs Sophomores and Tuesday Juniors vs Freshmen.
7th GRADE NEWS CONTINUEDWe are glad to sy we have a new boy in our room. His name is Harry
Arnett, he came here from Walkerton. The Arnett family moved into the Mullins house.
Now we have 16 boys and 3 girls. Next year we will get more girls from Teegarden.
We have hopes of having one more class party before school is out.
