TYNER REDMEN WIN VICTORY
Tyner School is very proud of the trophy the Tyner
Redmen won by defeating Leiters Ford and Grovertown in the Holiday Tourney at West High.
The Team was supported by some fine yelling from the cheering section.
Our County Superintendent, Mr. Schafer, awarded the trophy to the co-captains, Dick Balke, and Jim Waller. The names of the players will be engraved on the plate on the trophy.

Last week we had a class meeting to choose our class
motto. It is "In Ourselves is the Triumph or Defeat." Our class colors are Royal Blue and
White. Our class flower is the American Beauty Rose.
S. S. S. STARTS FOOD FUNDThe S.S.S. Girls held a meeting in the gym Wednesday,
Jan. 17th. In our meeting we drew names for secret pals.
We have started a food fund. All the girls who wish to contribute should have their donations in by the 17th of February. The food fund is to build up the SSS treasury for the food baskets which the girls give at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Several girls have already contributed.

Carol Stoneburner and Marlene Bottroff will visit the
Plymouth Pilot office on Friday, February 2nd. While there, they will assist in writing
articles and headlines for the school page and will observe the process of publishing the
newspaper.
Each Friday during the school year, the Pilot has a special school page that is made up of the news sent in by reporters from the schools in the county. Reporters from each school will visit the newspaper during the year.

The band is going to march in the gym at the Argos
ball game. They have been practicing every band morning on spirals, the turning wheel, "A"
for Argos, and T. H. S. for Tyner High School. It really looks nice, and I would advise you
to get balcony seats.
The Choralettes are going to sing at the P.T.A. at Teegarden, January 22nd.
