P.T.A. INSTALLATION

Mrs.F.A. LaMunion- Health and Juvenile Protection;
Miss Jane Roberts Towers - School Nurse;
Mrs Roy Masterson- Publication;
and one chairman Mr. Dwight Thompson- Budget and Finance.
P.T.A. Installation meeting, conducted by Mr. York
was held on Monday evening Oct. 17. Approximately 70 guests and members were present for
the installation of the first officers. Before the ceremony, Mr. York gave a brief, inspiring
speech on the work and activities of the P.T.A. The theme for the following year is "Home,
Family and School." He told of the necessity of the co-operation of everyone with each other
in building up the your of today and tomorrow for better living.

After the ceremony the President presented the
chairwomen of the standing committees. They were:

Following the presentation of the committee chairmen the group enjoyed an entertaining
social hour and refreshment served by Mrs. C.E.Shank and Mrs. Stanley Karn from a table
decorated beautifully with Halloween decorations.
OUR SCHOOL FAIROn November 19, the P.T.A. of Tyner High School will
hold "Our School Fair" in the Tyner
school building from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

booth or to purchase articles from the various booths in the gym which are as follows:

The workers for the fair are to be dressed in comfortable clothes, the women in cotton dresses and
sunbonnets and the men in overalls, so don't get dressed up, be comfortable and come to spend
a enjoyable time..
The success of "Our School Fair" depends upon the co-operation of the people of the community and the students of the school through their generou , donations of time, energy, talents and material donations.
Although a letter asking for donations was went to the parents through the students we are again reminding you to send your donations for the "Fair" early committees, Karn's Store, or the school. The proceeds of "Our School Fair"; will be used to the advantage of the Tyner students.
