FIRST  AND  SECOND  GRADE  NEWS

One Monday afternoon the room mothers treated our room to an egg hunt at the Wayne Smith home. The children had a delightful time searching for the gayly colored eggs. Lynette Hutchings was happy to find the silver egg. This party was also to celebrate Sherrie's birthday, April 18. For the occasion, Mrs. Dean Maxson baked a delious chocolste cake which was beautifully decorated. Mrs. Smith served the cake and ice cream to the guests.

Friday, May 3 was Roy Dean Lowry's last day with us. He and his mother left on Saturday for New Jersey, where Roy Dean's farher is stationed with the army. We hope that he will enjoy his new home.

We are looking forward to the trip to South Bend Friday sponsored by the Teegarden Parent Teachers Association. We are very happy that our room mothers will accompany us.

All the children are looking forward to the school trip to South Bend this Friday, sponsored by the P.T.A. and room mothers. We hope to visit the police  and   fire stations, airport, post office  and  the Mishawaka Children Museum.

The Third Grade is having fun learning their four's  and  five's in multiplication.

We have a few peas,  corn,  and  radish plants growing in the room. Also one of our moths emerged from its cocoon.

Everyone enjoyed our last P.T.A. program, during which Mr. Louiseau entertained the Parents with our Teegarden talent. Taking part in the program were Charlene Lemert,  Myra Ross,  Karen Wringer,  Barbara Metcalf,  Tommy Gardener,  and  Donny Ruhl.
