Spring track is coming to an end shortly with the running of the county track meet at Bremen Monday
evening, May 13th. This track season the Tyner thinlies have competed in six meets with various
neighboring schools. Due to lack of a full squad plus the inexperience of those who participate
the Redmen haven't won a meet but placed second twice. Four boys stand a good chance in winning
a letter, however; and those are Richard Berglund, Tom Biggins, Harold Bell,
and Larry Barden. It takes twenty points to win a letter.
Plans have been made to get an interest in track on the junior high level. A meet with Lapaz is scheduled for the 14th of May and five school meet is being planned for the 17th of May at Bourbon. We are hoping that track in the junior high will stimulate high school track in the years to come.
Summer baseball program is being set up for this year. Three age groups are being planned with the age groups being 10-12, 13-15, and the high school team. Schedules for those groups have not been drawn up as yet, however.
